I've done this with both the rear wheel bearings on my ute and also my jetski prop bearings, works a treat Then put the new races in the freezer to contract and the frame in the oven to expand, everything slips together, returns to room temp and you got yourself a nice press fit without a press.

You can often put the case With the race still fitted in the oven. As Ali and steel expand differently. Give it a couple of hundred degrees and come back to the race dropped out of the case. If it isn't, just hit the race with the freeze spray

Get this though, before I found the above tip I recently had purchased a few hundred bux worth of new OTC gear pullers and seperators plus a genuine Mitsu Millers tool for helping me remove the bearings and races from gearboxes. With the new tools, that bastard input shaft race in the bellhousing plus some of the others are much easier and faster to remove lol
