as per my previous posts, the proton wira ones are only about $170 for a brand new pair (in comparison to over $400 a pair from mitsubishi). they are the identical part, both black in colour as well, and fit cc lancer GSR perfectly.. ring proton spares and quote part numbers PW534221 - left...

on my old gsr i started off with a filter adapter and pod filter in the stock location. but i made sure i bought the shortest k&n pod so it fit in with the fuse box there. then after a couple of defects i got over it and put in the stock airbox with a blitz panel filter from here...

thats what i used to do. nice and cheap that way. no point buying a whole new cap when just the seal needs replacing :).. unless you want bling

it depends if the glxi ones are like the GSR airbox or if they are like proton satria i know that satria airbox didnt fit because although it bolted to the standard AFM, the satria airbox has a resonator moulded into the box (the airbox was moulded/shaped to continue underneath the airflow...

In my old gsr, I used a 1" (from memory) holesaw in my door trim and installed them there at the top here are a couple of pics that I found - they dont show the positioning of it the best, but you get the idea...
