Maybe your roll stoppers are worn out, and the engine rocks excessively as you go on and off power, you may be able to watch this with the bonnet up, and a helper watching as you do the handbrake method, then switch to actually rolling backwards, see if it pops as the engine rocks, or if it's at...

There is no loom, but it's only one plug and a couple of wires to the wiper, I an give you the stock switch that goes in the dash if you like

id say you have a bent control arm mate... how did the lower adjusting bolts fit, are they both "aligned" similarly? a wheel alignment is definately recommended, but i doubt you would be able to move the wheel that much on the alignment
