yeah problem now solved, i found out from previous owner that one of the cables had broken and he got some custom ones made up. unfortunitly they made them too short so i forked out to get them extended and problem now gone.

i wouldnt, vr4s are considerably heavier, you could try magna front shocks with vr4 springs if you want. you just gotta swap the lower bushes just for if your looking at cheaper suspension.
