thanx, took the car to work and back today and uncool.... the wheels chirp even in straight lines. it only gets worse around corners. something is very wrong.the car also slows quickly just throught the drive train. it is like ive got a welded center with mismatch diffs at the same time. not...

i have been trying to find out what car this gearbox came from. still dont know the code dosent belong to any car ive looked up. from what ive gathered it actually is an lsd gearbox (i had no idea).s however it does say it is a 3.45 box. which means it has to be the rear diff of transfercase right?

i drove it around today seems to be going ok

but then why did this not occurr with my GSR its an aus spec and should have had the same problem?

drove the car to work and back today, it was like driving with a locked centre diff. the front wheels were screetching every bump and at least one wheel in the rear was doin the same every bump and corner.

good news my amg is back on the road for the one hundredth time

the vr4 started out as an auto jap spec vr4, it was then converted to a manual. then a rs 16g spec motor was put in. after that a aus spec vr4 gearbox was put in with no such problems. i have now got an aus spec gsr box in. or at least i hope anyway. ill have to check as it is the second gearbox...

ok good news and bad news.... good news is i now have all gears due to some dodgy modifying on my behalef. i will post some photos later and explain how i did it for referance if someone wants to do the same thing later (dont recommend it). bad news the car although picking gears and driving...

ok recent update, i compared shifters from gsr to vr4 and there was a huge differance. i have now installed the gsr shifter into the vr4 with a bit of modifiing. my little girl demanded my attention for a while so i will adjust the cables tomorrow and let use know how it goes.

at the box there are adjusters just before the gearbox linkage.....previous owner had a cable snap and got custom ones made up. this was way before problem occurred

wouldnt that mean 2,4, and reverse would be affected as well?

i have a maf translator but decided not to use it, im going down the gm maf with ecm link path. seems to be the more flexible way to go.
