Evo 7'S for under 20K - too good to be true!?

I'd say yours wiould be one of the only "early evos for over 20K" any of us would gladly pay for Trav!

    rvr 4g63t into gsr?

From experience you'd at least need the passenger side driveshaft from a VR4 or Evo I/II/III (don't know if you can use an RVR one, maybe someone else does?), or failing that, one of these: http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=338 You'll also need a 2 piece engine mount from...

Evo 7'S for under 20K - too good to be true!?

Unless you're going to sell me your 8 for 20K Jon, I'll have to keep looking !!

Evo 7'S for under 20K - too good to be true!?

That's the other thing that's confusing me - TME's definitely appear to be holding their value compared to 6's / 7's regardless of spec!! I know that's my boyhood dream car, and anytime I see one for low 20's i.e. 21-22K I get very interested!! Is that just a mid thirties man trying to to live...

Front setup for 5 stud conversion

This link seems more conversational of an entire build project, as opposed to a "how to" fit Evo IV hubs to a GSR/ Evo I/II/III ?? I really can't find anything apart from the occasional mention or pic of the 5 stud hub/disc/trailing arm assembly !? F*ck it, this is all far too confusing for...

Front setup for 5 stud conversion

I tried searching "5 stud conversion" in this forum, but it couldn't even find this post, let alone Dougmo's!! If someone else is having better luck, can you cross reference the link to Dougmo's original post here? Anyway, in conclusion...

Front setup for 5 stud conversion

Yeah, that's why I'm hopeful Evo IV hubs would work, even if only for the fronts. Are Evo IV equipped with Brembos? Maybe I could buy the hubs & brakes & do a 5-stud & Brembo upgrade in one swoop!? :w00t:

Gates Racing belts for 4G93T ?

No worries - Cheers guys So the Meek timing belt kit for $200 would be a good buy? http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=21 Is it a good idea to change the tensioner at the same time? I've felt the pain of having to rebuild a 4G63T in my old Cordia when the timimg belt...

Front setup for 5 stud conversion

If someone is wrecking an Evo IV, could I just buy the front & rear hubs off of it & use those?

Gates Racing belts for 4G93T ?

Cos I thought buying a Gates Racing spec one would help prevent exactly that sort of thing Jon!! :P How long had the HKS belt been on the car for before it failed though? Have you ever seen a Gates one do that?

Gates Racing belts for 4G93T ?

Would that be the standard belt? 'cos I see a T935R in the catalogue, and I'm pretty sure the "R" stands for a "Racing" spec belt?
  15. boostboy76

Gates Racing belts for 4G93T ?

Does anyone know if you can get hold of the Gates Racing belts, like the ones you always see on e-bay etc for the 4G63T, but for a 4G93T? The Gates Australia Online catalogue shows these under "Timing Belts" 1992-96 1.8L 4 Cyl. DOHC Turbo (4G93T-S4) T935R Gates Racing Belt...

No American suppliers that will ship to Canada? Or are they completely unaware of early model Evos?

    Descsions....To refine or trade-up?????

I'v been wrestling with a similar issue, that being whether to jump straight from a CC GSR to an Evo 6 or 7, or to buy a reshelled Evo II / III I'm thinking of doing the latter, and am on the verge of buying an Evo 2 reshell (GSR with Evo 2 4G63 & drivetrain). I think one of the things that...

    CC GSR centre console lid

Unfortunately, like all Malay sellers, it says they won't ship outside Malaysia    Also, is it just me, or does that thing look too wide, too long, and too high, compared to the OEM lid?
