Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

I haven't, but it's definitely not an alignment issue causing it. We lifted up the car and pulled on the wheels, and they moved laterally up and down (or in & out depending on how you describe it). The point of contact that looked to be causing that issue was the bushing as you could see it...

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Do you happen to know if any of the U.S. Lancers, eclipses, or talons share such a rose joint? I would love to keep with factory, but am having a nightmare of a time finding the parts. Thanks,

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Gotcha, Thanks. Were you able to dig up any pictures of that 'rose joint' you're referring to? Would love to nail down the part and make sure I'm ordering the right thing. Thanks again,

Ah, thank you. Is that inside the drivers side dash, or on the drivers side in the engine bay? Thanks!

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

I had it looked at, and the techs came to the conclusion of the rear control arm bushings.... though they could be absolutely wrong. Is it not that bushing the stabilizes the horizontal movement of the wheel? That's the problem for the knocking. I already have this part on order to...

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Hello again everyone. As always thanks in advance as the TEAM4G community is fantastic, I just got my car back from the paint shop, and I'm fairly satisfied with the job for what I paid, but it would seem they didnt put enough coats on as there's some red showing through in areas. In any...

CD9A/CE9A Rear Control Arm Bushings - Help!

Yeah, they do, vaguely, but I can't be 100% sure. I'll get some pics up tomorrow when I go to the shop. Thanks,

CD9A/CE9A Rear Control Arm Bushings - Help!

Re: . Right, but none of the 3 pictures show the point of the bushing where the control arm meets with the hub. It's in that non-vieable area where my bushing is dead. I'll try and take a picture as soon as I get my car back from the paint shop.

CD9A/CE9A Rear Control Arm Bushings - Help!

The point of contact which the arm meets the hub. It's visible that it's a bushing with a steel tube inbetween. I'm not sure what you mean by rose joint? Do you have a picture available? Thanks.

CD9A/CE9A Rear Control Arm Bushings - Help!

Does anyone out there know a fast way for me to get some replacement bushings for my evo 1 (i think it's using evo 2/3 control arms, but bushings should be universal for 1-3)? So far I've located this part as a match for the rear control arm bushings (my bushings are shot and the rear wheels...

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

HKS Kansai front "bars' are the strut bars. I'm referring to the bumper. Still HKS Kansai?

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

Can anyone comment on that front bumper, or where to get mudflaps for an evo 1? Thank you!

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

Yeah I actualy just purchased it, saw that it was around $100 cheaper then the first link. Hopefully it's the same product or quality.

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "plumbback" BOV? same as 'recirculating" i take it? And as for open-air or recirculated air, are their pros and cons on our engines? I hear bad things about open-air. On that same note, can something like an HKS SSQ BOV being converted to recirculated...

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

^^^ Great, thank you for those links. What does everyone think of replacing the stock radiator with something like a lightweight aluminum radiator? and/or replacing the stock hosing? Thanks,

Parts? HKS Bumper, clear sides, black tails, SSQ BOV's?

Hey all, Could someone verify what parts these are (below) and where they can be purchased? Also, does anyone have any BOV reccomendations? Does open air vented bov's hurt our engine/decrease performance? If so, what about using an HKS SSQ BOV and recirculating it? I lost 1 of my original...

Most cost/effective CD9A Evo 1 Upgrades? (pics inside)

Thank you for the info. Would it be safe to presume that a skilled tuner of evo 8-10's may be able to work with the CD9A/CE9A's? If not, what additional equipment and/or ECU swaps are best in order to tune it. Thanks -

Most cost/effective CD9A Evo 1 Upgrades? (pics inside)

To tell you the truth I don't know what offset it's running right now. I took the car to the paint shop 2 days after purchasing it, and it's been in there since getting primed & repainted inside & out. I didn't even realize the wheels were 8" until you mentioned it.. lol.

Most cost/effective CD9A Evo 1 Upgrades? (pics inside)

Thanks. Part I'm looking for would be best suited for Rally. Gravel/mud/tarmac. This car was originally tuned for rally. I don't have any tuners familiar with the ECU on the evo 1-3's so I'd like to pickup parts that won't necessarily be tune dependent. It's being repainted in a truck...

Most cost/effective CD9A Evo 1 Upgrades? (pics inside)

What's special about left hand drive headlights? Also, it was tuned by the japanese shop "ALEX" which is apparently quite famous of their in japan. The previous owner said our 92 octane ran perfect on what the ECU was currently tuned for. On that same note, how can a U.S. tuner tune such a...
