Fantastic, I'll try that. In the middle of problem solving a radiator that doesn't want to push fluid.... ~_~ Thanks again,

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

What did you mean by this? I don't understand which bolts you're referring to. I found the 2 bolts on each side for the support reails, but not sure about the "belt"

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

I'm STILL under here trying to pull the bumper off and I can't, for the life of me, figure at how to get to the bolts holding the bumper on. This is crazy. maybe I'm missing something painfully obvious.

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

Thanks for those pictures, but I'm still having a hard time seeing where exactly those bolts are and how they connect to the front bumper skin.

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

It seems like it's those 2 bolts that's holding me up right now. Is the only way to get at those bolts is to take out the headlights? If so, then I can't seem to figure out how to pull the lights.

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

Wow, you really have to take the quarter panels off to get at the headlights and front bumper? Man... Mitsubishi sure doesn't like to make things easy... ugh.

Pull off front bumper on Evo 1? How? *frustrated*

Hey everyone, As I type this I'm right in the middle of pulling parts from my car and installing a new radiator and hoses. I was able to pull the radiator out without removing the front bumper, but I decided that while I'm down in the engine here I might as well do some cleanup on the FMIC...

Great, thanks. Is the high heat the same stuff you used for the FMIC & piping?

Lancerevo: What paint did you use for the heat shield? I'm worried about what paint to use as it tends to get extremely hot. What type of paint for the cover? Thanks

Great job on the clean up & Paint lancerevo! I'm going to follow your example and do alot of the same with cleanup and paint in my engine bay & FMIC. One thing I'd reccomend though: Lose some of the tacky stickers ~_~. And maybe repaint the mitsu logo from white back to eiter OEM red, or...

Resetting the ECU + Boost Gauge Questions

I no longer have stock evo seats in the car so I can't imagine that being the problem. I'll double check as soon as I get the car back from the shop again. If someone could let me know where that "beeper" is that would be fantastic, Thanks :) I've actualy tried the search, but I find the...

Sorry to bring up an old post, but does anyone have any up to date links of short shifters for the evo 1? I would like to reduce the throw a bit. Thanks,

Resetting the ECU + Boost Gauge Questions

Greetings, I've got a few questions as it seemed the shop I took my evo in to had accidentally drained the battery and reset the ECU as I now see that the seatbelt light in the gauge cluster is always on (never was before when I bought it) and the car no long makes a noise when i forget & leave...

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Ok great, thanks. Just needed confirmation. Also, would it be easier/more cost effective to order said bushings, or look for an actual "rose joint." I have no idea where they might sell evo 1 rose joints online, and I highly doubt I'd be able to find one here in the U.S. Any ideas? Thanks,

Could someone please help me confirm exactly what bushes I need to fix this (circled in red)? - (I was told it's a rose joint, though I'd have absolutely no idea where to find that part in the U.S., but I was also told replacement bushings should fix it as well: Rear control arm, or rear...

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Thanks :) Taking it in to the shop for another coat. They did a really poor job in areas and it looks like I got what I paid for ($2k USD+tax)... oh well -_-

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

' haha, yeah ;). I had actually seen it painted on an STi, which ended up leading me to paint mine in the same. when you rub your hand over the paint it definitely shows marks due to how rough it is, but it easily washes out. But with that in mind, this type of paint has what I'd call a...

Pics of my Evo 1 Rally Car + questions (56K beware)

Nope. In fact, it's 1 gallon of Duplicolor Truck Bedliner which you can pick up for around $50 USD. It's more textured then a normal flat paint, but it's 10x tougher. Only con is that it will fade very slightly as the texture fills with dirt, etc. But I had this in mind and wanted a more...
