    Weird electrical issue

Was running perfectly fine before this. I did not do any work on the car in the past few weeks. I will check all the fuses in the morning when there is more light. I suspect one or more blown fuse. Need to find which one(s) and need to find out why it blew... Are the functions I described all...

    Weird electrical issue

Started the evo I today. ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster. Heater does not work (clock displays time but buttons for fan and temperature do not do anything and fan is off). Defroster for rear window does not work and little orange light does not turn on in the switch. Power windows...

    Brakes overheating at the track

No fluid leaks at all. I inspect the car before every track outing. Rotors are installed properly. I am thinking more and more that my braking technique might be the problem. I will experiment with that and see what happens.

    Brakes overheating at the track

We both replaced our rotors with brand new ones, same brand, same thickness, same everything. We even have the exact same wheels. Only difference is the paint color on the wheels. ;) Same weight I assume since there was no major modifications. They are both 92 EVO I GSR with the same diffs...

    Brakes overheating at the track

My car is an evo I GSR (CD9A). New rotors, new brake pad (Carbotech XP10), new brake fluid (ATE Typ200). Tires are Kumho XS 215/40R16. Almost finished. Brake lines are stock rubber. Suspension is a set of Ground Control coilovers with 440FR (8kg/mm), 340RR (6kg/mm) spring rates. I have -1.5...

Pic request: Evo I-II-III with XXR 002 wheels

Wondering if theses wheels would fit the style. Ideally 16x7 in hyper silver. Can't find any pics. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

    HELP: Can't close sunroof

Managed to close it. I discovered there is an access to the motor drive hidden under a plastic cap on the passenger side. With a hex and ratchet, I managed to close it manually. I guess the glass part was misaligned and caught on something. It will remain closed for now until I have time to...

    HELP: Can't close sunroof

Hi everyone, I have a bit of a problem. I opened the sunroof on my evo 1 gsr but can't close it. It closes almost all the way, but stops and reverses a few inches. I checked for obstructions, anything jammed. It all looks clean. It opens up great. But when I try to close it it doesn't go all...

    Brake cooling ducts

Thanks a lot! Did you notice an improvement in heat resistance and diminished fade? How did you plumb the intake for the ducts? On both sides of the i/c?

    Brake cooling ducts

That sounds like what I have in mind. Do you have pictures of your setup? The passenger side s a bit tricky because of the oil cooler. Did you remove the rotor backing plates completely? How did you attach the flex duct at the front? and back? Thanks in advance!

    Brake cooling ducts

Very interesting... My rear pads barely get used up. They do brake (I hear them squealing) but who knows how much pressure is sent to the back. With the car on stock suspension, the squat was pretty impressive during hard breaking: I almost felt that the rear wheels were lifting off from the...

    Brake cooling ducts

At most tracks, I get fade after maybe 3-4 laps. Boiled fluid. The pads can handle it but the system heats up too much for the fluid. I think ducts will help a lot.

    Brake cooling ducts

Hello, I own a 92 Lancer Evo that I drive on the track. I have stock rotors with Carbotech XP10 pads all around. I use ATE Superblue brake fluid. I was thinking of making some custom front brake cooling ducts to help reduce fade. Has anybody done it on an early evo? Would love to see...
