You can never have too much overkill :) at least you know you wont run out of fuel from the pumps, I run twin 044s for the "just in case" factor.

oring each time we didnt retension the head after 1000kms.. didnt think that was necessary according to cometic instructions. will do it next time round. and if it happens again then block has to come out i guess. car is a 1993 evo 1. rebuilt 4g63 with je pistons, scat rods, arp mainstuds etc...

headgasket hmm, no idea if it detonates, it gets retuned each time it gets put back together again and it doesnt run much timing at all, 10 degrees at full load throughout rev range. no signs of detonation whenever the head is off. hylomar is used each time. possibly not tensioning arp studs...

cams depends what you call "fine" as whats good for one person may not be good for another. my BC 280/280's idle between 1000rpm-1500rpm, usually around the 1300rpm mark for slightly better idle quality. lose heaps of vacuum. also its lumpy as anything and though i have a high tolerance it does...

yeh i got that from ebay, vr4, evo 1-3, ev0 4-9 etc are advertised separately. maybe because if you own an evo 4-9 you may search for "evo 4-9 cam gears" instead
