    HSGR Clutch Master Cylinder

I know how you feel Loz - I have had a love hate relationship with my RVR for some time - but the good times over rule the bad. Slave cylinder is easy - two bolts and a brake line fitting to undo on the front of the gbox. The master is fairly easy to get to but does require some contortion...

    HSGR Clutch Master Cylinder

Loz head out to Perth Brake Parts and they will be able to help you out - From memory the slave is an evo 3 slave and the master is similar again (I rebuilt mine as I just had a poor rubber and no internal corrosion) From memory the slave is under $30. Hope this helps - you will need to pull...

    RVR won't idle

Hopefully I get this right but Clutz feel free to tell us if I am wrong. The TPS not only tells the ecu the throttle position but also control the idle switch for the ecu - this was separate in early VR4's – hence the need to ascertain its condition. The voltage for this should read 0.55V...

HSGR Bonnet Swap for a SSG Item

Agree with tborvr, the ssg scoop seems to let more water into the engine bay when you wash the car and lift the hood after than it ever does when under way. The coil pack really is not as exposed as one would assume to the air path and rain does not fall horizontal (although I am in Perth...

    More Power Please.

ECMlite is a great way forward if you are looking to do the ecu upgrade. I have it in my RVR and Tom from ECMlink is great to deal with. As for the rest of the power upgrades I have virtually what Clutz has suggested done to my rvr with the exception of the cams being hks 264's in place of the...

Radiator and heater hose part numbers

Thanks guys, From what I can determine on the russian forums the lower hose is Mackay CH3866 MR126207 as p055um5 noted for the HSG - other numbers match up for non turbo and 4g93 variants The russian site list the heater hose set as MB831585 This appears to be a ru specific hose set number...

Radiator and heater hose part numbers

Hi Guys, Getting ready to do some engine work on my ssg and thought I would see if anyone has the part numbers for the lower radiator hose and the two heater coolant hoses (figured i would replace these while the engine is apart - top hose previously done). Mackay rubber list 3 differnt lower...

    Oil leak: Transfer case

My last thoughts are input shaft or T Case halves leaking, maybe ask Clutz and see if he knows further

    Oil leak: Transfer case

Ok, If its the rear seal or yolk it will spray the driveshaft tunnel with a thin film of oil, primarily just above the sway bar. You may also notice some burn marks on the exhaust.

    Oil leak: Transfer case

Rear seal or driveshaft yolk are the common locations, either way do not let the transfer get low on oil... Just my 2C too. Also are you sure it is not above the transfer as the gearbox output for the LHS resides over and could leak onto the transfer from its location.

    Ecu's?

As BMGTZ said I have done mine for my RVR and have been very happy with it. The ECMlink can also now be set up with MAP sensor using the SD bundle package that they offer. Best bet is to talk to Tom of ECM Tuning - you will not be sorry with what it can do with just a stock ECU.

    Choice for Bolt-In Fuel Pump

Have a read through VFAQ's or search for 2g dsm fuel pump rewire and this should give you a guide. Also look up fuel rewire in search http://4gtuner.com/site/showthread.php?t=7&highlight=fuel+rewire For the mounting location of the relay I chose under the drivers seat through the transverse...

    Choice for Bolt-In Fuel Pump

Very worth while exercise and rather simple to do. All figures for the aftermarket pumps are quoted at 14v not the 12 or less that is supplied to the pump throught the std wiring loom. Have a look at road race engineerings website for fuel pump figures just for an example of the flow rate...

    Choice for Bolt-In Fuel Pump

Also worth rewiring your pump so that you can ensure it is seeing 14v (if you have not done it already)

    Exhaust routing over rear shafts

TBORVR is right, Yes you can follow the stock route, I have done, but you will be limited in size. The largest I could fit following the stock path is 2.75" which was fine for me but if you want 3" then you may struggle.
