If you try all this and have no luck you may need an oxy to fully heat it up .

There is a guy in Perth , jason kent who is a great driver and has a wicked evo 3 rs prepped by race torque who is extremly competive in the targa west rallies so and its Proof that a well setup earlier model evo is just as good as the later ones, he has some good you tube vids to look at to...

And make sure you have a pretty good helmet, i Had a Brand new sparco helmet ( cost $660 ) i bought from the uk and they almost didnt let me use it. it only had the british standards sticker on it and not the aussie one,,

You also get more satisfaction when you beat a newer more expensive rally car. but i see both points of view on the topic. you may jump in a newer evo and have better results straight away,they are always near the front in my events i do. Or stick with what you have and struggle to get much...

If its for a gsr 1.8 turbo i had the same problem. buy a new one for 140 dollars and use your old nose cone and it will bolt up
