Hi Rob Engine was assembled by an engine builder,ARP new studs,were used to spec the worst leak is on the rear end above the gearbox,buy pretty much seeping out all around, has done 400klms since starting and been back to engine builder for a retention already and still leaking,not as bad now...

Hi Jon The reason for the 5 layer was the CP piston stick up above the deck by .3mm the 5 layer is 1.2mm thick, same as standard comp gasket twin layer gasket is only .4mm thick and the triple layer is only .6mm thick both these gaskets would raise the compression. block and head was decked.yes...

Hi Guys Anybody know of,or used a 5 layer steel head gasket from STA in NZ? for a GSR Engine A mate and I bought these for our rebuilds,his is back in the car running but is leaking oil and water around the head. Has anyone heard of this before is it a common problem or a one of faulty product...

Thanks Bazeng But my guides have been removed from the head already, and several of them have been squashed and distroyed. I may have an aftermarket set thru one shop,I was quoted $8.00 ea much better than the genuine price. Ive order a set,let ya all know if they are right. Thanks all. Regards Neil

Actually, No I haven't, I assumed the engine shop would have done that first will have to ask them.I have heard genuine ones are $60 ea EX $30 ea IN Thats a whole wad of cash for a few little tubes. Regards Neil

Yeh I rang Chris at Meek and they don't have any,never have had any for 4g93 the ones on the site are for 4g63 only. Anyone know of of anywhere else?? Regards Neil
