    You cant gap iridium or platinum as the tips are so fine you'll damage them. Stick with the copper plugs, all the guys in the US making good power on 1g and 2g dsm and vr4's use them over the rare metal plugs.     Is stripping first gear common in a W5m33? I though they normally stripped 3rd or 4th from torque, and Aluminum selector forks from ham fisted shifts into 3rd.

    I hear a good saying about insurance. Its expensive when you don''t need it, but cheap when you do need it. Im just wondering if its worth me having full insurance as they would easily pull some bullshit about some mod being illegal and therefore not covered.

    It depends entirely on how aggressive that chip is. Its likely pig rich with lots of timing. A lot of chips also have "octane reset" every time the car is started so the ecu is prevent from 'learning" with the amount of knock, it isn't able to move towards the low octane table from the high one...

    Read the code off the geabox bell housing.That can determine which gearbox it has, and your ratios, unless it's been built with differnt ratios.

    Im pretty sure when i worked it out 3.909 ratios have you around 4k at 100kmph dont they? Probbaly just got 3.9 gears rather than 3.5
