ok... so... ill just change the oil and filter, then crank without the ignitor then start her up and let her idle till heat saturated and go for that decarbonating run up the M9 :) I think the most damage that has been done is some life taken from every trim & piece of upholstery in the car...

yeh i was just reading on this website (http://beckracingengines.com/performance/index.php?cPath=124&main_page=index) about how to start a new engine, and one point was disable ignition and crank for 30 seconds to get some oil pressure... or alternatively prime it manually with a drill.. cbf...
