    That's a good way to read the pressure from the reg return to the tank but useless if you want to know rail pressure.

    I chamfer the thrust so it gets a better oil feed, haven't had any problems with super heavy covers. And I run no oil squirters.

    The thrusts on second hand Evo 5 up cranks are always mint because the pull clutch uses the opposite side as the thrust surface when used in 1-3

    I run Evo 9 crank, Evo 8 rods, pistons and valve springs in an Evo 2 motor. Just double check combustion chamber CC's and head gasket thickness to check the comp ratio.

    Im not bias to 4g's and have built 4g63's,4g93's,Rb30/26's,2JZ's,EZ30's,a bulk load of EJ20's,4agze's,SR20's,LS1's. IMO for a decent HP 4cyl you cant build anything as strong as the 4g63 using the same budget. Iv seen a few sr20 oil pumps fail, a cracked sleeve and every one knows about there...

    Haha would strongly advise against an express or triton gear box. Interesting, do you need to use the evo 4 timing cover?

    The sr20 is shit compared to a 4g if you want more than std power. Gear box isn't a huge problem if there is room for an adaptor plate to bolt on (if bolt holes are not on top of other bolt holes).     no I mean mitsubishi express van block, they come out 7 bolt wide block and narrow block. Yea im just wondering if the bolt spacing for the main caps and the block layout is the same between the 6 and 7 bolt. It defiantly wont fit an evo 7 bolt but this is completely different main cap layout...

    Does anyone know or can check if a kiggly main girdle will fit on a 7 bolt block, not worried about the main caps just want to know if it hits anything on the block, crank or rods? Im using a van 4g63 block so I have individual main caps and no factory girdle or any caps that are joined.

    Ill try dig up some maps for you. for every 1000 rpm you need 2deg (from memory) more ignition timing just for it to keep up to the delay due to rpm increasing. Iv seen a few places do maps like that, way quicker and still has the big top end but isnt ideal.

    Your sweet then. yeah the double holed evo 4-8 cam gears make it a bit confusing on early 4g63's Iv got late gears and cam's that make it 100 times more confusing lol.

    Meh I ran 20psi through a completly stock sohc 4g64 with a cam, no intercooler and some 50/50 water metholated spirits mix. Made just over 300whp, more than the 32 GTR that was on the dyno before it.

    Way to big for the turbo and in general. You can dial out the overlap but you can't dial out the duration and lift. I think I was running about 8.something mm lift and a mild 272 when I was at around 420whp on my 93. You will kill off a lot of down low power and don't have a big turbo to use it...
