    fp black power curve

    The blacks are not worth much because no one wants them on street cars. I don't know about you but every time I look at that power curve I think how close to perfect that turbo is for the fast circuits we run at. It doesn't drop below 5k, just need to change your driving pattern to suit.

    Never even gets really warm, I got told I should be good without heat sink but just mounted it to a a bit of alloy square tube which i mounted a relay inside and a circuit breaker on the out side.

    The best bit was the fact that we got the fp black for $600 with low hours on it, sold the std evo 9 turbo for $600, sold the dump pipe we got with the FP black for $250 and sold the plasma man cold side outlet pipe that also came on the black for $200. Winning??!!

    I was really surprised how sensitive it is below boost /sub 2000rpm. Its a 100Amp dc/dc jaycar solid state relay ($47) with a 0.18v voltage drop at 100% duty. I just run it off a general purpose pwm output @100hz and have the table axis as Boost vs Rpm and run as low as 30%duty (around 7volts)...

    Yea I made a small alloy muffler for it too, I was worried about the noise restrictions at lakeside on the W/E, it ended up being quieter than the stainless on that came off and the muffler is straight through with no restrictions.

    Iv seen alloy dump pipes survive behind 1500hp big block chevs.It not a new thing and has been proven. This will do 100 laps in anger then its getting a 3.5.

    The dump pipe is stainless to the sump so it will be fine.

    Haha yea it was re shelled due to a big off at Queensland raceway. These were the cheapest panels available, one day it will get a vinyl wrap but at the moment thats not going to make it faster lol

    Just finished a 3 inch straight through exhaust for an evo 9, topped the scales at 4kg. 12kgs less than the stainless one I replaced.

    Link G4 or vipec followed by haltech. Those are the easiest to tune anyway.

    Not on pump fuel, the margin for error is too small. You can also make way more power from running it fat and having more timing than running it lean with low timing. Iv run about 5 vipecs and link g4's now, very happy with everyone iv done. So many cool features for a race car too.

    Those AFR's are brave at peak torque and even up top for bp98, or are you running meth injection too?
