A photo would be awesome Mike. Some 5th gears are worse than others.. I normally use to flat pry bars but as above, they don't always work and you risk chipping teeth if you're too hard on them.

You would have to change the whole heater box etc along with the digital controller as the old ones are cable driven and the digital have servo motors.
