So.... gearbox.. haha taking it apart is there anything i shouldn't undo...

Got it from..... i saved her just gotta fix her up.

Sadly i took this poor girl off a scrap heap so i promised the missus it wasnt going to cost me alot to fix..... famous last words i kno....

Before i just go an undo all the bolts and pull it apart.... is there anything i need to watch out for?

Bolt doesnt change anything . Gear box is out now. What is my next step for this box.

I just pulled out the gearbox and have seen your post evo haha. .... i will try that bolt tomorrow... now i have it out..... what should i be looking for etc now. Anything on the clutch face that can show excessive wear .... im never taking a gearbox out again haha. Thanks for all your help so...

Hey guys. Cv green hubs are out. Just trying to get the intermediate shaft out...... i have undone 2 bolts holding the bracket to the block but cant get it off.... i couldn't find Anything else holding it on.... Thanks for all your help its been a great learning project so far haha

Should the rubber boots come off with it ir stay on haha noob questions i know

So i have taken the cv out of the hubs.... how do i take out the front drive shafts from the gearbox?or do they stay in and just slide out with it.

Its basically standard. Few engine mods but nothing special and a gearbox with unkniwn issue

Maybe ill rip out my old one before i get a new one haha

so looks like ill try and pick up a 2nd hand box. while i have it out guys have already mentioned changing clutch etc, ill have to have a look at what is in it as i know no history on the car but doubt it would be in good nick, what is most cost effective replacement,- im not gonna be running...

Yh thro 1 to 5 sounded ok but haven't really given it a run as i got it unregistered etcetc and it needed a bit of work

So if this thing has been run dry what will i need to change in the box... will the gears and syncros be ok. Im guessing all the seals that. Or is it a case of just opening her up and having a look
