    VR4 tank is located directly under the boot, towards the LHS and allows the exhaust to pass on the RHS. This is after the diff and drivetrain (towards the rear). Maybe it will help being a shallowish tank ? but as it sits in a VR4 you won't get an exhaust pipe right down the centre of it.

    IMO strut tower mounts wouldn't really help, as most of the motion is front-back on an east/west motor. Also, even though it's a dampener... would it not just create another short path for the vibrations to the cabin? Most things mounted to the firewall make a shitload of noise in the cabin...

    The evo1 was the only one that went backwards in terms of the cams... I know that the cams in the E1 are definitely much milder, the ports may be a 1g/2g thing. Smaller ports but better designed flow etc in the head.

    Most immobilizers are lazily installed. If you don't do it right, they can still be started. A lot of them are installed really close to the barrell so it's easy to bypass further down, especially in the case of ours and a lot of other cars that have a plug further down than the immobilizer...
