Intercooler & tune are really the only 2 factors. For max top end power, the A-spec inlet is "better". Both ozzie and jap run the same stock boost, which may now vary between cars that are 15-19 years old. Car being lighter doesn't affect it's power output :)

Aspec has a proper wing, j-spec one is rubber. All A-spec's have map lights/climate control/cruise. A-Spec has electric antenna in rear 1/4. Most J-spec's have it in the rear windscreen. A-spec's have sexier tail lights than most of the standard J-spec ones. A-spec's jenerally have more k's...

to be honest, I actually like the external styling. I thought it'd be horrid, but it's reasonably tasteful. The rest of the car on the other hand is disgustingly tastless, tacky and rubbish. It'd be fine if you never had to look inside or drive it.
