Seam Welding Engine Bay in EVO1-3

Yeah seam welding all the engine bay seams Is a great idea, I'd suggest you do the whole length of the rails and all the rear end too... But thats another story I plated the strut tops.. And also put a plate here... As our old chassis got bad cracking through there.. Make sure you wire...

    Anti Lag?

You need to go specatate at some rallies! :P pretty welll every decently quick 4WD turbo would be running antilag like that! B) pretty cool piece of road however...

Forum Battle Calder Park March 2012- 4GTUNER invite

The Co-driver in the Aston was a lucky boy, just ended up with a dislocated pelvis. Which is amazing as the in car computer measured the impact at 30 G's! The impact was so hard that it bent the HANS device posts on his helmet! It says alot about the cage in the car which was built by Jason...

    Evo 3 gearbox rebuild

A mate of mine is about to sell his spare Evo 3 box... It came out of an import and has had about 60,000 km of road use. Was his spare for the rally car but was never needed (it's never been in the rally car), he has since sold the 3 to upgrade to a Later model. Shoot me a PM if your keen and...

EVO 3 Rally Spec, Racers (Grp 7) Number 22

yeah the Group A cars required the homolgated engine which would have meant a cast block same as a standard RS. The gearbox is a X-TRAC 6 speed dog engagement, but still H-pattern... the diffs had more tricky electronics than an evo 10 ;) here is some more group A goodness... '95 Ex-Aghini...

EVO 3 Rally Spec, Racers (Grp 7) Number 22

awesome find.... it such a shame that there are next to none of the original Group A cars left in the world :( I only spotted one mistake however.. (saying 16" wheels for gravel.. should be 15" with 16" for snow)

    Which ECU?

I run a ViPEC and love it, but it would be overkill for a street car.... so I'd suggest the ECMlink as the way to go.

Forum Battle Calder Park March 2012- 4GTUNER invite

yeah you need to be registered for the ARC or the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship to do the outright rally, however there is a rally/lap dash competition as a part of the forum challenge. It will use just one of the tarmac stages that is being used for the main event. Its listed in Baz's...

    Information overload

Id agree with dat16dog, in the fact that the cost to build a 'mildy competative' is not cheap at all, you would be far better off starting with a solid baseand then modifying it from there rather than building from scratch.. Remember to really be compeditive, especially in gravel rallies...

    TD05 16G

no dont do it yourself.. take it to a turbo place, they will pull the turbo core apart, have them remove and check the bearings and replace with genuine mitsubishi bearings.. then they will re-balance the turbo and it will be as good as a genuine one. You may get a lifetime of perfect running...
