well yea, your engine builder sounds like a idiot yea. taking the head off to measure the lift is a stupid excuse to charge more. if he was that worried about valves smacking pistons he can compare the lift between the stock cams and the jasma cams, then work out the lift using the rocker...

my vote is your cam timing is not set correctly. im running a PTE 60-1 and have 22psi at 4500rpm or there abouts.

i looked into this a while ago, You would need to bring your car into Australia under the Personal Imports scheme, a basic run down. you need to get approval to import first you then organise a freight company to ship your car, roll on roll off, container etc when it arrives, you have customs...

you wont get a cert with a vented external, it needs to be recircluated back into the exhaust. they classify a vented wastegate as an exhaust leak. you can techicnally run a wastegate as a seperate exhaust system to the rear of the car. there is plenty of kits on trademe...
