I ended up picking up a replacement gearbox. I believe it was a bearing on the 1st/2nd shaft. Originally the noise started in 2nd and then happened on 1st as well. Given those two gears are on the same shaft that's my reason for thinking it was a bearing on that shaft. I would've pulled it apart...

No interest in a good pair of Evo 1 seats with rails? They are heaps better than the standard GSR and regular Lancer seats!

Hi, They are in great condition. Also a Cusco front strut brace for $120. Set of hubs, discs and calipers for the CC GSR (stock) - $50. I've got a stack of Cordia GSR parts as well that I want to get rid of. Pickup only in Ivanhoe (Melb). Seats are sold. Thanks

Bump - will take $420 for the seats and $120 for the strut brace. I still have everything listed in the first post. The seats are a great improvement over the crappy Lancer GSR seats.

There's a couple under $9k on Carsales ... the silver one looks all right. Personally I think they are both overpriced, I just sold a GSR with Evo 1 motor for $7k unregistered, good mechanicals but had the usual roof rust. A stock GSR probably isn't worth more than $6500 without roof rust...
