RVR dear future owner, things i have learnt

Good luck with the sale, we just sold our one after 3 years ... back to the previous owner for £1000 more!

Will evo 1-3 Dump pipe fit RVR HSG, and a few other Q's!

Can't comment on the dump pipe but looks like it should be fine. I guess it depends on the specific turbo fitment though. Creaking sounds like the springs aren't seated properly, Should be an easy fix once the car is jacked up. I noticed when we swapped the lights out for crystal units that...

RVR crystal headlights - found them!!

We're heading back to the UK in the next few months. if we take the RVR we will need to find someRHD units as you can't go back to the older style ones afterwards, too much bumper cutting. If I knew were definitely taking it I'd be trying to find a way to get them over to us.

    curious newbie

@Steve B - We visit once a year and normally go Hull-Liverpool-Norfolk so would theoretically pass you at some point. We don't bring the RVR as it would use about 4 tanks, we did it the first year and it was a rather expensive visit, With the increase in fuel proces I reckon we could go away...

    curious newbie

Super Top, we live just outside Roermond, not too far away from you for a meeting. This is probably a good thing knowing the fuel economy of an RVR HSGR! I noticed your RVR is in storage, any reason? Gutted we don't have the only one in Mainland Europe but if yours is in storage then at least...

    curious newbie

Steve, we have a white HSG-R that is on UK plates but not in the UK and therefore not showing on the records. I know at least one other 97 registered white car in the UK too. I believe ours has been the only one in mainland Europe for the last 20 months though. From what you say I guess yours...

    Front brake lines

The 8th Gen Legnum VR4 1996-2001. The brakes on that are the same as an Evo 4.

    Front brake lines

Hi all, We have some 6-pot calipers that were on my VR4 and we want to fit them to the HSG. I have some front lines from the VR4 (Evo 4 compatible) but they are too long for the RVR due to the two piece brake hose on the strut. Does anyone know if there's a hose kit readily available that...

Housing where oil filter and oil switch attach?

Glad to her you got it sorted. Sorry I wasn't much help in the end, I was about to call up the Mitsi parts diagram for that area and confirm the actual part. If you want I can still do that.

Housing where oil filter and oil switch attach?

Is it the bit filter screws onto? Like a sandwich plate with two tubes coming off it? If so it's the oil cooler and you need to be careful. Ours split and those two pipes feed water to cool the oil, the split went between the two and meant water was in the oil system. That meant a fairly...

    rvr clutch problems

Have read about this before, we suffered it during a clutch bleed session. In our case it just needed bleeding properly and I'm sure that's what I read elsewhere. If I find the info I'll post up a link.

Wrecking 1997 Black RVR HSG Manual

Clinton, I never received a PM, still interested in the parts I originally requested. Like I say, happy to pay the postage as long as the total cost doesn't come in at $1000s LOL Cheers Lee

Wrecking 1997 Black RVR HSG Manual

2nd dibs on the suspension pls. Looking for the oil cooler unit, power steering pump and wind deflectors are critical pls. I realise it would be heavy shipping to Germany or UK but happy to pay it as we really need these parts. Thanks Lee

Decided to run 18psi boost on my 4AT Chariot GT and last decision to do MT swap or IPT tranny rebuil

I am wondering about gearboxes myself. I know the RVR seems to use a specific model but can't see how it is different to the original Evo3 / VR-4 boxes.

Ah, OK, Sweet! Thanks for the info.

    RVR suspension, handling and equipment

I don't doubt the effectiveness of the camber plates, I doubt my ability to modify the mounting correctly to maintain the stock geometry. unless I misunderstood your write-up you have adjusted the camber initally by the way you have elongated the three mounting holes. The rest of it I could...

    RVR suspension, handling and equipment

Sorry, i didn't mean to imply that you had hacked the springs It's just rare to find someone has done the job properly. Had a look over your site, not sure I want to risk adjusting the camber on the front to fit the Evo kit but if that's what it comes to. Thanks for the info, it has certainly...

    RVR suspension, handling and equipment

How much work is needed to fit Evo suspension on an RVR? In our case a HSGR? You won't find me cutting any springs mind, still amazes me that people do that as it totally destroys the spring dynamics and shouldn't be done. We want to lower our HSGR but due to it being the only one in...

Wrecking: 1997 RVR Hyper Sports Gear

Hi, Not sure if you still have this but we desperately need the oil cooler unit, see attachement, from this. Do you have it and are willing to ship it to Europe? Also looking for the front engine hoisting mount, wind deflectors and the air vents from the dashboard if they are in full working...
