    Genuine part numbers website

Just came across this website on another forum thanks to a bloke in the states trying to rebuild a cordia gearbox. The way the website works is great and gives you genuine part numbers for what looks like everything. Apologies if this has been posted already. I don't come here that often these...

Could someone please put this VIN into CAPS/ASA

Awesome. Thanks for the replies. I'm guessing window glass privacy is Japanese for tinting  This car seems like a goer. REVS came back squeaky clean. At this point i can't see any reason not to buy it. It's got an evo 9 diffuser, VG, carbon lips front and back, no oil leaks, can't see...

Could someone please put this VIN into CAPS/ASA

Came across this pdf on evo trans/diffs trying to find out what OYR means. Sorry if it's been posted before but looks like it's got some useful info. http://mark.cb.spb.ru/pub/MMC_Evolution/Evo_Transmission_Information.pdf

Could someone please put this VIN into CAPS/ASA

Your a legend mate, thanks! I probably should have looked at the model number a bit closer. It's actually a Z not a 2. I gotta start getting some more sleep ^_^ At least i know it's got it's original colour and someone's done me the favour of attaching a 5 speed to it. Thanks for all the replies.

Could someone please put this VIN into CAPS/ASA

Thanks !Jonzap!, exactly the info i was after. It's probable been posted before but i just couldn't find it. This car has a 5 speed so it's been tinkered with by somebody. That's a good thing though. The owner has all the dereg papers from Japan so i'll have a closer look at the km's when i have...

Could someone please put this VIN into CAPS/ASA

VIN(Chassis) - 6U9000(CT9A0202775) It's a JDM EVO 8 GSR. Any info regarding options, km's etc. is much appreciated. I've been scouring the internet and smashing the search function as i've come across some info regarding what 0202 and 775 represent before. I just can't find it again. Also the...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Thanks man. Yeah it can be a bit of handful at times. Here is what it sounds like after around 200k's of driving. http://vid1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc496/siret23/MOV_0104_zpsmueoducc.mp4 Getting 21psi up to redline and no leaks. Will recheck torque on the studs soon. But judging by how...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Here is a link to some photos of my car for this job and the respray i gave it. I know the engine bay wiring is a mess, just please don't look at it. I know you guys will want to flame me. I will fix it maybe, prolly not, when i get a new car which should be in the next few months. Got my eye on...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Car is running well and has good power. Here is a vid of how she sounded on first start up. It's a bit quieter now i've driven it. http://vid1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc496/siret23/MOV_0099_zpsnhagn1ya.mp4

    So I blew a headgasket...

Started her up and it's running well. Valvetrain seems to be a little noisier. Will see what happens after i've driven it. Either way i'll be replacing the lifters. Doesn't sit right with me keeping them in there after what you guys have told me. Just to go back to the oil inside the intake...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Yes. No. No. No. No, no, no, a little bit maybe 100-200ml every 3-4k. I have a catchcan. Around a year ago i had 160psi across all four. Before i took the head off a week ago 2 & 3 were at 60, 1 & 4 were 158. I'll start her up today and see what happens.

    So I blew a headgasket...

Valves have been checked and a new 3 angle job on the seats has been done. Would the cracked guides explain why there is oil inside the intake manifold? He was doing 2 heads for meek the same week i had mine there and he knew perfectly well they were not solid. I'm happy to buy a new set but...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Yeah i know a timing belt has been done before, 3 pistons have score marks. The reason i was speculating was i find it hard to believe that the previous owner didn't repair the head properly. Means i've done 27k kms on a rooted head. Do the lifters have a maximum height once they're pumped up...

    So I blew a headgasket...

Between 2 & 3. When i was taking the valves out of the head, the first 3 valve springs from the TB side were missing their seats. Once the valves were all out i noticed that every intake valve guide was cracked. To my mind having 3 springs sitting lower than the other 5 would put the geometry of...

    Ignition Leads

Magnecor. Personally they are the best leads i've used. They also fixed an electrical gremlin in my dad's alfetta. If they can make 1980's Italian electrics work then you know they're solid. Need to be custom made though and not sure how many places are doing them these days.

Taking top nut off front strut in CB GSR (and replacement strut top cap)

Apparently the CB strut tops have a bolt distance of 153mm whereas the CC are 143mm, same as the cordia. I know this doesn't help you but new CC strut tops are available from sprints in SA for $35 each. Might be worth giving them a ring...

Taking top nut off front strut in CB GSR (and replacement strut top cap)

Not sure about a CB GSR but a few years ago new strut tops for the cordia were around the $160 each mark from Japan. K-Mac do an aftermarket for the cordia at $240 each so i would assume they would offer the same for your car. Noltec used to offer this part for the cords but no longer. You might...
