so -
airtreck single piston 28.3cm2
airtreck twin piston 28.7cm2
io single piston 25.5cm2
vr4 twin piston 27.7cm2
not great but 27.7cm2 is better than 28.7cm2 when you are valved for 25.5cm2
it's a really weird stupid internal design - slacks creek said they've not seen anything like it before.
I'm going to try and get the front/rear volumes same ratio as the FTO / Evo / Outlander and see how it goes - would have been awesome if i'd known prior to fully refurbishing the front pair...
Hi Guys,
Long-long-long shot here but chasing some info on the early pre-92 twin-pot calipers with the 41mm pistons, - found in Galant, E38a, vr4 89-92
not the 43mm pistons used by every other twin pot system RVR through to EVOX.
the early caliper is MB699450, runs pistons MB618229 which are...
yeah - likely the go.
i'm going to look and see if i can machine 2.5mm off the brake caliper frame mount and 2.5mm off the knuckle mounts and if the 5mm offset inwards disks will fit on the hub and clear the knuckle - then i'll just mount everything inboard slightly
otherwise yeah machine...
yeah these were my thoughts too - just couldn't work out why the standard rims only contact 3mm.
I'll just need to source some 39mm height 24mm thick disks - do you know if the two piece disks can be cross-bolted between centers?
Thanks
Hi Guys,
This is a Q about the realistic issues with the mag wheel to wheel hub flange mounting.
Background on issue:
I drive a pajero io - 5x114.3 stud pattern.
I'm upgrading my front calipers from piss-weak single pot calipers to twin pots using the evo 3 / rvr / fto single-to-twin...
What an ego masturbation onslaught :D thanks though as a mega walbro was something i was contemplating but excessive fuel not really ideal.
Pumps 11cm long 1.5" diameter, the return flow IS USED TO TRANSFER FROM THE SADDLE TANK and its 9.8:1 compression so octane not a real major issue.
I've...

Hi guys, stock 4g94 300,000kms in paj io.
Pump is getting noisy.
End plan will be intake exhaust stage 2 cam and tune, nothing more.
so $400 for genuine pump, $180 for ebay bosch or something better out there?
Thanks
Thanks heaps!! - what do you think the likelyhood is given that the Pajero io is a late 2000/2001 body style with a 98-2000 fto engine? no go? both would have EGR carbon canister etc -
I've only dealt with 1960's to 1980's engines/cars and there is a fucktonne of emissions crap that excludes...
Nope - has to be a 4G94 bolt pattern, the io is RWD so has a pajero-ish gearbox with integral bell housing.
main problem is the engine is 2000,body is 2002 - not sure if this is legal in QLD..
No,
....Unless i'm missing something entirely, This is not a 4G6x compatible pattern - it only matches the 4G9x blocks with the top bolt offset bolt pattern and as such this is the only stock way of gaining more power out of a 4G9X motor without going GDI (which produces less than a 6a12 etc)...
I buy febest for rubber bushes etc - bought a wheel bearing from them and it failed after 5000 kms though I believe this had more to do with the fuckwit installing it (hammer marks all over my suspension - vice grip damage to ABS module etc etc)
Hi Guys,
I'm starting the process of seeing if the legalities of a 4G94 to 6a12 will permit the conversion to be road-registered.
Base vehicle is a 2002 build pajero io 2.0L
Donor vehicle is tricky, likely a 2000 build FTO mivec or an import galant/diamant etc
What is the deal in QLD with...
It appears to be able to be bolted on 180deg - see underside pic.
no clearance issues on the side of the throttle body at all - cannot believe i could be so simple, just need to unwind the harness out a bit to reach...
