Had a similar problem not so long ago! Clutch was dragging and shuddering from time to time! Anyway when I pulled it out I found 3 pieces of the center that retains one of the cushion spring broken off and jamming things up! Didn't expect to find that when I pulled it out!

Had a look at your aluminium plate and also have Neil's template file! Thanks Neil. Has anyone had problems with the firewall still cracking with the plate in place? Cheers...

Yeah mine use too rattle too! Hope they stay in this plate, it does look better made and somewhat heavier in the hub area.. Lets hope.. :unsure:

The setup I pulled out had about 80,000 k's on it. Was working very nice with no slippage at all, not even when pulling a ton trailer and 300 odd kg in the tub! Thanks for the info buddy. I used a dial indicator set up on the end of the shaft and pushed the shaft back and forth. I guess I should have said "at least .25mm end float" :) I haven't opened the box completely yet! Had a bit of a go at removing 5th gear syncro hub from the shaft but no luck...

Hi all, I have a gsr W5M33 that's done 75,000 K's. While fitting a viscous lock I checked the input and lay shaft end play! I temporarily bolted the sandwich plate back tight. The lay shaft had no end play at all but the input shaft has 0.24mm, a fair bit above the 0.05mm spec! Any thoughts on...

I use 10w 40 syngaurd.
