    ECU issues

Just as an FYI I had a look at the ECU board and could not see any obvious issues (to my untrained eye). It looks like the capacitors have been replaced at some point, maybe in 2007... Apologies for the photo quality.

    ECU issues

Excellent! If the part number matches (MD187040) I'll take it! Many thanks for that.

    ECU issues

I think your comment "Have you checked the ecu hasn't burst a capacitor or 2?" is a possible explanation (and so is a bad earth). I will remove the ECU over the weekend to have a look, and go from there. Anyone got an old GSR ECU laying around that they are willing to sell (which is my next...

    ECU issues

So, I have an starting problem that I think is the ECU, based on the testing I have done. To set the scene, I am running ECMLink v3 Lite in a GSR ECU with standard bolt on mods (fuel pump, fuel pump wiring, injectors, EVO AFM, FMIC, exhaust, but sadly still with TD04). I have run this ECU for...

    Fitting an EVO4 steering wheel

I recently got hold of an EVO4 steering wheel and thought (as I always do) should be a straight swap into the GSR. Clearly I have not done too many mods.... LOL Anyway, got it done and thought the following might be of minor interest (sadly this does not add kilowatts...) 1st and 2nd photos...

    New intercooler set up

For an el cheapo option this is what I did - intercooler is out of a XR6. Probably not adequate for big power but for my current situation does the job

Evo 1-3 Dash Removal ( lots of pics )

Excellent stuff! Really appreciate the effort you have gone to here. I have some heater control problems for which this will really be a huge help, so thanks again for all the detail here.

Cause I'm not bright and need a direct answer

A good point, I have thought a bit about this as I have watched the forum for the last few years; problem is that blokes like me come along and do stuff that was being done 15 years ago, by the time I get to do my 2 lt conversion the car will be well over 20 years old, so those older gurus don't...

    Steering wheels

Nah, I have not seen any I like; I like the early EVO ones, unfortunately they seem hard to source...

    Steering wheels

Hi Gents, I'm hoping you can help me with a question I have regarding steering wheels I need to replace the OEM steering wheel on my 94 CC GSR and have found one like the attached (which I like and looks suitably low key). It is off an EVO 4 CN9A (according to the website), does any one know...

FS: 1994 Lancer GSR (PRICE DROPPED $5000)

The bad thing about this sale is that it makes mine worth an awful lot less... I reckon a steal at that price. Do you have a power figure ?

Satria gti obd port to the evo3 ecu

Not sure if there is an issue here or not: I may have missed something but in my CC GSR once the ECU was chipped with ecmlink I just used their supplied cable to connect the ECU (via the socket as shown in the original post) to my laptop, which has the ecmlink software loaded onto it. You can...

    Half moon seal

Re "The rubber ones tend to warp from heat after a while" Yes, I suspect this has happened, the seal has been in for at least 12 months, maybe 18, only recently has it started to weep. From what I can gather reading around the web (so it must be true!) the alloy seal fixes this permanently. I...
