1.8L GSR to a 2L VR4 MOTOR

ok what if i wanted to put a VR4 motor in my car.... like will i need to do any modifications or it should just fit straight in their... what's the prices on a VR4 motor... n will it need to come with wiring looms? or it uses the same as the 1.8L gsr looms? any little info can be much help... Thanks

some dood on the forum has some evo 1 and 2 half cuts for sale.

Might be easy to grab them.

half cuts...? mmm this guy has a VR4 motor n he only wants like $1200 with loom... n i watch the vido of the motor still running... so i have PM him...

If you want to do a VR4 conversion, you need to

- get a VR4 front passenger side driveshaft
- 8mm spacer for the driveshaft mount
- get urself an evo123 RHS engine mount (2 pieces) or alternatively make a custom mount from the VR4 one.

GSR gearbox u can use

GSR loom you can use, but:

- CAS needs to be rewired
- TPS and stepper motor need to be rewired
- alternator wiring needs to be extended


ive probably missed some bits and pieces, but it isnt a straight forward swap. :wink:

pulling the motor apart tomorrow or thursday... so far its fried rings, but their could be more damage
