Hi guys
Trying to find some decent tyres at a reasonable price for a set of 15" oz rims on my car.

Only option my local tyre shop has in 205/50/15 is an RE002 Bridgestone and they want $225 fitted each. Seems pretty high as I paid less for a RE003 (later model) in 17" for my wife's car!

When you look on Tirerack in the US, there are lots more choices and around about the US$100 a piece.

What are other people running? Other sizes better?

Thanks!

You'll be paying more for the same tyre in a 15 then a 17 just because these days 17 inch is more common and the more common size tyre the cheaper it will be. Tyre rack is pretty good might be best to purchase from them. My mate has had re002 and re003 on his car and he said the re002 was a better tyre. nitto make some good tyres and khumo not sure if they have in your size.

Thanks mate. Guessed as much.

Do you know how much shipping is from Tirerack?

Nah man sorry wouldn't have a clue, I don't usually keep cars long enough to buy tyres lol
I'm sure they would have a shipping calculator on their site

I have been quoted $3XX to ship from tirerack for a set of 15" wheels
Thanks! Seems like it might be cheaper to just buy local.

Anyone have a good experience with certain brands/models in 15" tyres?

What kind of tyres are you looking for?
You can get KU36 Kumhos which from what I've read grip extremely well for $140 each (205/50/15).

Not exactly the cheaper end of the scale but if you can get a set a Yokohama ado8r they are amazing. Good in the wet or dry. But they do come at a premium price for this reason.
There is also a pay for 3 get 4 sale on till the end of the month on these also

^^^ agree.

He may have to change wheel size to get tyres with the same rolling diameter as I don't think they come in stock sizes.

Hi guys - update:
got some Advan Neovas from my local Bob Jane in Artarmon. 4 for 3 special ($185 each) in 205/50/15 fitted. The young guys there were really enthusiastic and did a good job. Even told me they're not allowed to rattle gun wheels so that humans can get them off :)
