17x7 rims - +42 offset?

Hi guys, looking for some new rims for my Evo 1, would 17x7 with +42 offset work? if not, whats the offset I should be looking for in 17x7.

Search didn't reveal much information, seemed to be lots of different opinions!

They'll fit without any problems.

Most aftermarket rims you buy are 40 offset and fair enough because they sit good inside the guards. 42 offset will sit in the guards a little more, and 38 offset will fill out the guards a little more :wink:

I think its the more offset the more they stick out!
42 will be fine.. I have 45 on mine in 17 X 7

no, the lower the offset, the more the wheels stick out
