2 litre 4g93t

Hey guys I recently brought a 93 gsr lancer and just found out it has had a engine swap so I checked my rego papers and its says its a 2 litre I was wondering if there was a 2 litre version of the 4g93t or what engine could it be.

Maybe the engine swap was to a 4g63t (2l), and you do not have the 4g93t anymore (1.8l). Reference pictures below.

Best way to confirm is check engine number it will have te first four digits 4gXX where XX is 93 or 63 to denote type

its a 100% a 4g93 I just checked the engine number

yea thats a 1.8 motor.

maybe the washer bottle has been stroked to 2.0?

I'm sure yours is a 1.8L 4G93 as above, but just pointing out there is a 2L 4G9x family engine denoted the 4G94 available as a SOHC or a crummy DOHC GDI. Pretty much the same bore (0.5mm larger from memory) and an extra long stroke to make a 1999cc 4G9x.

I may have been too quick, not fully understanding what the OP was questioning.

Could well do with a mistake like that on my rego papers!! Absolute gold if you had a '63 laying around.

Yea i wish I had a 63 laying around Im trying to source one and work out the of price of the engine and labour

Put it in yourself? Its easy if you are good with tools and stuff.
There is even a guide in the tech section if you have a look.
Also VFAQ has a how to.

Having a car like these it would be a wise idea to learn a bit...and get some tools. You will need both! Or it will end up costing you heaps...
