hey guys,

i'm just wondering... if i have 2.5 inch intercooler piping, will it upset anything if the intercooler i use has a 3 inch inlet and outlet on it?

of course i would have to have an expander/reducer on the intercooler inlet/outlet.

mat :)

Not particularly.

What it does upset (slightly reduced airspeed and vaguely increased turbulence) you wouldn't notice anyway.

Car's aren't anywhere near as fussy as aircraft :)

Sorry could someone explain this to me? Can't picture it...

How would you alter the outlets to fit the smaller piping?

ahhh, thanks mate. :D

Any advantages of having a cooler with 3" outlets, or is this product just designed for compatability's sake?

i think 3 inch piping on the average 4 cylinder car would be a bit overkill, except in some circumstances...

i've just found a cooler at autobarn that they want to clear out for a good price, and justjap are out of stock of the 2.5 inch inlet/outlet version of the same cooler.
