Hey guys,

This might or might not be a stupid question. I have searched and not found an answer for it on the forum yet.
I have a 1993 GSR 1.8L Turbo Aus delivered standard drive train from what i understand.

I had the car on stands the other day and put the car in gear and only 2 wheels spun. The drivers front and the rear passengers. The other 2 wheels did not move.
I know i don't have any LSD's in the car but i was wondering if all wheels were meant to spin or just the two that did?

Also i was wondering if anyone knows what the power ratio front:back is for the standard GSR?

Thanks guys.

How stuff works helped. What i gathered is that the car thinks that it is turning a corner and thus not engaging the other wheels, whereas while going straight it uses an average speed to keep all wheels moving.

with open diffs the power goes down the path of least resistance (only 2 wheels as front and rear are locked by the viscous coupling).
