I know this is a bit of a unknown thing but thought I'd ask anyhow, what do people know about using a 4d68 crank in a 4g63 7 bolt?

So far from what I've read some people say you can use the 4d68 crank with 150mm rods and 2.2 stroker pistons, but it is a 93mm crank which means it will be 1mm lower, will this be ok? Just lowering the compression being the only difference?

I already have the 2.2 pistons and 150mm rods, so don't realy want to get custom pistons to correct the 1mm difference, and I know I can get a forged 94mm crank but want to look at all options. Any info would be great.

I have heard of people using the 4d68 crank,My only concern would be getting a good one and also the potential weight of the diesel crank?
There is a guy from NZ that I know of running one and making good numbers so they may be ok.

one thing to possibly think about is a long rod 2.0?
How much higher is the pin in the pistons you have compared to stock ones?

Its a step up in budget but one of the maxspeedingrods knife edged 94mm cranks would be the go.
I have a 100mm one and I tried my best to fault it and could not.

Not to sure of the hight difference in pins at the moment I shall have to do a side by side to check, and I shall have to have a look at those cranks they sound interesting. but would still be interesting to have a look at the 4d68 crank to see what they are like, I have also sent a pm to that guy so time will tell if he replys as to how he went about it.
