hey guys what pistons are the subject?
are they stock ggsr pistons?
cause thats what are in mine just not sure cheers.
 
well my ggsr has so much diff shit on it its not funny..
like the loom has plugs for foglights but my car has foglights but they were hidden behind what i thought was jsut a black piece of plastic it turned out to be a cover for fog lights :Swtf
also i belive aus spec ggsrs didnt come with the 7 bolt and mine is 7 bolt.
also my dash has anti l;ock lights on it but i have no abs..
also my vin has number and letters that dont correspond with the mitsu vin identification key.

^^ the above gives me a good reason to not know WTF engine is in it..
 
Its a genuine Mitsubishi piston and definitely out of a stock NA 2 litre Galant and has a part number of MD190262. I found it in a US parts listing along with the 4G63DT piston from an Eclipse. If you look at the table below you can see the difference between the Eclipse turbo piston (top) and the Galant NA piston (below). I've also seen the 63DT's in VR4's and 63DHT's in EVO's. They are basically the factory hypereutectic pistons, but your DK is just a stocky NA one mate :)

OK, for the finale (these suckers are damn hard to get a pic or specs on!!) but here is an NA 63DK piston on the left, and one of a few variations of the 63DT turbo pistons on the right :lol:

I found the EBay pics on a Lithuanian Eclipse forum, and the other info off some Asian site and a US parts list :p I had to even delve into using Babelfish but there wasnt even a language converter for it but when I saw 63DK and 63DT I went ahah!!! I got you now muthrfkr!! :lol:

in pure jap import spec they probably came with the higher compression 7 bolt n/a engine

why do we always get screwed!!!
