Hey guys,

Got a mate who isn't a member of these forums, so I'm asking this on his behalf.

He has a CE Lancer that he's interested in 4g93/63ing... if anyone has done this before, he'd like to know what work was involved and how much it cost to get it running on the road.

Thanks in advance

He needs to call andrew at cvap who can get him the later model gsr or evo motor which has the same orientation as the ce. CE gsr, evo 4-9 etc. There are a couple of guys on the mogwa forums who have done it so it might be worth giving them a try as for total conversion costs.

It is very hard to put an exact cost onto a conversion like this. There will always be things to spend money on. Do you just bolt in an engine or do you change the timing belt first? What about the aircon gas? The list could go on forever. Here is a couple of pics of a CE coupe that we are building. EVO6 engine and AWD conversion.

These pics are a couple of months old, the build has progressed a lot further since. I will update the pics soon so you guys can see the Plazmaman intercooler kit and Ralliart intake pipe.
This thing is awesome!

i got a mate who had doen the same thing... he put a evo 6 motor in his lancer... he then upgraded the turbo, did everything, fuel pump... everything u name it...
mad ass brakes on it... had to convert the rear drums to disc... upgraded brake hoses.... he has spent so so so much money on it... 1 prob... he still from this day cant get a Engineerings certificate

but putting the motor in is no drama at all... its a straight swop really...
