anyone know where i can get a set of pistons from? i'd rather forged but at this stage i just want any newies i can get my hands on... my old man got quoted 1500 bucks ... thought that was a bit steep...

i wouldnt b surprised, i was after forged internals when i did my 93 to rebuild it but ended going down the 2ltr path.

if u wanna keep the 93 id say go forged rather than stock.

hahahaha 1500 bucks thats a rip...

when i did my 1.8L i got custom pistons made, n made to suit my bore size too... that cost 1100... so a standard size for a 1.8L would be cheaper $1000...

all honisty get a 63 :D

Bahh....go the 63 and be like the rest!

Stick with the 93 and be part of small group of rebels that hide in the shadows waiting for our time mmuuuhhhaaaaaa :smt068

Parts are easy to get for 93z, and 93z are alot more fun on the street and heaps for revvvvy than a 2ltr LoL

Abuse via pm :smt040

If i had my time again, i would have build the '93, trust me....

its ok G5R5OL if the engine that was taken to 8500rpm all the time was the one in the gsr i bought off aaron its not in good health atm, 0 compression on 3 cylinders and 40% on the 4th.

its in my garage in a few pieces.

the motor aaron is referring to is the forged motor he use to have that he sold to steve.. and he put a stocker motor bak in the car before he sold it to you.. so that said.. the motor you had was stock and AFAIK not boosted..

thus being said.. its common for a 93t to crack ring lands and loose compression.. they are a **** piston from factory!! not like a 4g63 piston at all.

Jon

correct that was my old engine... that think could handle anything... but i sold that serperate n put a stock motor in the gsr...

its not my problem if ppl if ppl r talking this the wrong way, its the fun i used to have, its not my problem anymore!

93t is not a mistake.. u just have to know what ur doing (no pun intended) its been proven already that a 93t can make really really good power... its just what other hardware u have..
