Anyone purchased a complete gasket kit for their 4G93 that they'd recommend?

I'll be starting to reassemble my engine in the next couple of weeks and just wanted to be able to get all of the gaskets in one hit. I won't need a head gasket as I already have a new metal gasket but if the kit comes with one then I'll just sell it/give it away.

Mostly looking for Inlet manifold gasket, camshaft front seal, O rings, valve cover gasket, water pump etc.

I know a lot of the kits also come with head bolts etc which I also wont need. Are the 4g93/4g92 kits all the same?

one of the meber on here was is a manager at supercheap he sorted a complete list for me that i unfortunately didn't need a family member sprung for all the parts my complete set cost $1500 this included head bolts head gasket every seal you can think of orings bearings etc. it was a complete rebuild set.

Hmm looks like an expensive exercise replacing everything. I might just replace them as I go and keep what I can get away with.

Thanks for the help though guys.

do it once do it right replace everything. you willl also want a genuine oring for the dizzy/cas or just use a generic with some gasket goo

my kit also had a waterpump timing belt and associated pullies

Yeah I know, I just have no need for the head gasket, if it was the required size then I might buy the kit. There isn't a list of what is included in the kit either?

I don't need the water pump gasket as the engine has a brand new water pump and gasket already fitted.

Jack of all were do i find members ride? Just joined. Im needing a full rebuild kit for 4g93t.
Also how do I find out what thickness head gasket I should use?

my kit was for an n/a aswell all the gaskets are the same the gasket kit was relatively cheap the big ticket items were the t-belt water pump timing pullies.

i then went and sourced a set of steel turbo gaskets separately.
here all the gaskets you'd need

in my rebuild i also did

full head service inc new valve stems

the total came to about 1500 for everything not just the gasket kit.
i built the motor myself honed the bores etc
only a handfull of parts were reused. namely rods pistons auto tensioner etc things that were realy big ticket items or were still within oe specs

Thanx. But iv just scored a whole rebuilt 4g43t motor. Now the question is what modes should i do while motor is out? Iv been told it was a factory rebuild. So every thing standard. Im after bang 4 buck. As $ R low after buying car+motor.

td05 16g. evo afm(intake pipe) injectors and ecu. you wont be dissapointed

i too am currently running a back to factory rebuild

check the for sale threads and post a wtb.

to do this you will need
ecu
afm
evo intake pipe stock/aftermarket
tdo5 16g and dump (will require exhaust mods to fit)
all associated oil and water lines for turbo
510cc injectors

Do I need to do all or none? Can I do bit by bit as I can afford or will it not run unless all is done??

you can only really do the turbo separate to the rest an evo ecu requires a 609 afm to operate which in turn is used to run the 510 cc injectors

so you can go ahead and buy the turbo and install that and run the on your gsr 449 afm ecu and 390cc injectors but it will be laggy.
then at a later time instal the afm injectors and ecu at the same time.

save up buy a part put it aside and put them all in at once would be my recommendation. but as you said you have the motor out put the turbo on as that is the most time consuming. when running a td05 on a 4g93 it is advisable you run an oil filer relocating kit as the dump pipe gets extremely close (requires grinding a heat sheild mounting tab off) making it damn near impossible to remove the filter

the rest are about a 30 minute job to replace

The stock evo intake pipe/maf wont fit.. it rubs hard on the cas and needs mods to work. I had to trim a rib on the evo elbow and trim the filter and mod the airbox to get it to fit.
Or ditch the stock airbox and run a pod...

Did you get a 4g93t or 4g63t ?
Or what is a 4g43t? A 3 cylinder 63t? Na that would be a 3g63...
