Hi all,

Just curious if anyone can enlighten me on the thickness of the factory GSR 4G93T head gasket?

Cheers,
Ted.

And is this to suit a cc gsr 93 or a ce gsr 93?

That's definitely a CC GSR gasket, it's the one I've used on my rebuild.

I'm not sure if 1.5mm is standard size but it's what I used as it gave me good clearance with big cams/lift.

Good seller by the way, got here from overseas within the week, and was excellent quality, pretty sure they are genuine Mitsubishi...

Factory is 1.5mm composite. You can get the later 4g93 head gaskets in mls but they are .6mm thick. I think the one above my be from a later model 1.8 sohc motor.Price them up from mitsi with the part number, I did this on a 63 gasket the other day and it was $100 less than what Map wanted for the same gasket.

It's definitely for a DOCH, the SOHC versions are a different shape on the outside of the gasket, but apparently the SOHC gaskets can be used on the DOHC engines???

I only know the pots are the same, the bolt holes are the same, the oil pressure hole is the same.
May only be a difference with a small waterhole or 2?

Download a pic of both and use photo shop and 70% transparency to compare.
Can you do the 1g, 2g and 3g front covers (oil pump) at the same time??? Please

Hey ted, I have the old head gasket I pulled out of my engine the other week, maybe you can test that on your head and see if she all lines up?

It's the same as the one in the post above and also the same as what I replaced it with. In fact, you may even be able to re use it as I only took it out because I pulled the motor down, don't even think the engine ran with it in there, still looks like new.

Just fix me up for postage and I'll throw it in the mail for you.
