Was reading EVO00X's members ride update and realised the 4g63's have ports for the oil cooler rather than using a sandwich plate, I was just wondering if the 93s have anything like this instead of using a sandwich plate just to eliminate one more thing which could fault
?

Anyone got a setup like this on their 93?

Cheers all

I got myself a Permacool oil cooler kit and filter relocator. It's a universal kit and comes with a few thread options to fit most cars, also comes with hose and clamps. The cooler is one of those really thin ones to help fit it to the front of the radiator behind the intercooler.
Haven't fitted it yet but it's quality and was pretty cheap straight from the states. Around $260 delivered.
Part number for the 200hp one I got is 69195

Just re read your post that you want to eliminate the sandwich plate. This kit still used a sandwich plate so probably doesn't help you sorry...

my advice grab a filter reloc kit and a 4g93 sohc filter tube bolt (yes they're different) run your new oil lines through an oil cool to the filter and back or to the filter then the cooler and back. eliminates factory sandwich plate type water to oil cooler

tbh i've had no issues with the factory oil cooler left in place. the only issue i had was when i pulled it off used a oring from a oil filter and pinched the oring spat oil everywhere bought a new genuine oring and all was well again.

and to answer the question no it doesn't

I did this on mine, there is no fittings like on a 63 motor you have to use aftermarket filter relocator parts, I removed the stock water cooler and just run an EVO III oil cooler. seems to work well however I had quite a bit of trouble getting the relocation kit component to seal to the block, Ive got it now but it took a lot of sanding to make sure it is all flat and in the end a nice bead of silastic on both sides of the o ring, it was never leaking out with any pressure just running down the sump and dripping on the ground. I can post up a few pics I guess.

Mine did the same thing they don't have a lot of theead on these. For mine it had a machined nut with a small hex section and a rounded section cercliped in place piled the nut sanded the rounded part flat out it back got it on nice and tight also used a square edged oring rather than the round one supplied.
