5 Stud conversion

Hi all,

Just curious i got given a ts magna at work for free am i able to use the front steering knuckles,brakes and hubs for a 5stud conversion on a cc lancer or m21 perhaps? maybe even the rear brakes? if possible?

Any info would be mad appreciated.

Some tr magna have the correct spline on the hubs. I have them fitted on my ute.
the tr knuckles are the same as rvr and the steering arm is slightly different to the cc lancer.

I think some of the ts had twin spot brakes; i dint know the bolt spacing, but i think its brembo spacing. if its not, they may suit you.

91 and early 92 tr magan is the only one, and they are hard to find.
magna twin pot bolt spacing is the same as gsr/evo, not brembo.

The later te on magnas have the brembo spacing though

Tr/ts magna and kr/ks verada should all be the same

lol, they are not the same, as above only early tr is 25 spline, all of the others are 27 spline and dont fit

Im pretty sure it was a ts it could be a tr i havent looked properly and jamo im good for buying a set i was thinking i may be able to sell a set
if they are of use to someone. what rears to people use for rear 5 stud conversion?

Fto rear arms with later model Evo hub or redrill existing hubs...depends on what handbrake setup they wanna use.

Ted...mine have been for sale for quite a while for a cheap price..had plenty of dreamers but no real bites yet. Not worth your effort unless you wanna give them away!

I think the 27 spline hubs could be useful. i reckon frankenstien hd shafts could be made with 27spline hubs and matching outer cvs with the fat shaft fwd inner and shafts. (with the matching spider gears inside the front diff)

dunno about passenger side though

fto are fwd so dont have splines? early legnum or evo 4-8 for rears. also awd magnas/veradas are correct too

Thats very wierd, you would think they are the same seeing they both use the same chassis, body, interior, suspension :wacko:

I think it was a changeover thing, they used the last of the 25spline axles from the 4 stud magna in the new tr but it has 5studs, so they made the hubs. then when the shafts ran out the went to the bigger outers and hubs.

Only thing that would let this story down is if tp and tr use different shafts.
Are evo4 27 spline? I think they are 25 as well...
