Hey guys,

My 77 LB Lancer runs out of reg on the 9th. If I cant find someone who wants it i will be giving it to a free tow-away company. It has a 2l scorpian engine in it. And its a 2 door coupe.

Needs a eng cert.

PM Sent. Cheers.

Would rather give it to someone. Was supposed to be my rally car

Don't know if i will ever get into rallying now

Mate, I know the 77 model LB sedan like the back of my hand. I built one up years ago for a hillclimb car and had to sell it for next to nothing when I lost my job. Had flare kit, k-mac suspension, deep dish dragways, twin webbers on the 4G32B engine I built and made 77kw at the rear wheels on the dyno lol... top little car and the first time I raced it I won my class  I always wanted to get another one to tub and do up for hillclimbs and track use only so if she is in good nick (and not rusted through) Im interested. Do you have any pics and some more info? :)

Pretty sure there is no rust at all. Umm lent it to a mate to use and he lost the radiator cap and petrol cap?!!

Idiot.

But it has the cool black and white vynal seats :p

2l astron with 5speed manual.

Will go take pics tonight if you like.

Yes please Bob. I still have a rare twin carby Solex manifold for the stock 1400cc engine for one of these things sitting in the garage - been in a box for years as I couldnt bare to part with it for sentimental reasons hahahaha  I've owned 2 x LB sedans since 1993 and back in 2001 I owned my good LB Sedan and a rare GD Galant coupe at the same time. I bought Sigma 2L Turbo gear to put into the Lancer but it sorta fell by the wayside when I lost my job and I had to sell up  . When my mates and I talk about the old girl we always laugh about how it used to shoot flames out the exhaust with just the hipo NA 1600 and how it used to scream its tits off - boy it was fun to drive sideways in that thing  I now have converted a CC Lancer coupe to AWD with hipo VR4 engine in it with forgies etc... but always planned to get another early LA coupe or LB sedan for fun.

Well Rob i only live near goulbourn i can go pick it up for you and leave it at my place until u wanna grab it, or i can drive it there on thursday when i go to Newcastle for ur sons bday

I have no troubles picking it up for you,

Is it still drivable??

OK no probs Bob, thanks anyway. Keep an eye out for an LA 2 door coupe for me though - I got BIG plans lol

i thought i was the only one who loved these things

i have a 4g61t sitting at home with an LB lancers name on it

my last one had a stock 1600 with a weber and mild cam in it

i had an L300 air snorkle on it and a 8inch air filter sticking through the bonnet it looked tuff

i had a young bloke at calder once ask me if it was an eight

good times back then

No worries mate, I like the LB round lights though. LA and LC had square ones.
Actually LA and LB's all had round headlights. The LB hatch had round lights as well. Only the LC hatch had square ones  lol.. I would have loved an early GTO coupe but they werent sold in Australia unfortunately. Those NZ boys get all the good shit

I'd love an old school LA or LB coupe or even one of these sweet GC/GD Galant coupes like one I owned several years ago http://www.cardomain.com/ride/730481 and stick a VR4 engine into it

Car sold....Well given away.

Sad day was much loved.

Funny that I always hated mitsus but i have almost always had one...

Love 'em to death now obviously
