Can anyone tell me whats the purpose of that big inlet tube thing after the turbo (Between turbo and intake plenum)?

I am not really into drag cars but that thing looks like a machine!!

Was the first Evo to tube frame the front end and use this setup Yes, the 8.23 is correct - (Worlds fastest Evo!) but the trapspeed is @ 179.50 which is a world record for a 4G63 4WD beating John Sheppards AWD Eagle Talon in the states by less than 0.5mph :lol: (Something Andre is fiercly proud of!!)

Turbo WAS an HKS T51R SPL except it shat its pants recently and took the intercooler with it (OUCH!) "The purpose of that big inlet tube thing after the turbo" .... it is the intercooler as mentioned ealier. Ice chilled water-air intercooler to be precise.

1041hp at the wheels before the turbo shat itself!! This car definitly has the potential to run some DEEP 7 sec passes with that sort of trap speed. Was finally beginning to show its true potential before the turbo let go :cry:


All going well Andre will have her ready for next season!!
