9.5'' wide on a CC evo with no widebody...

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I dunno boys, it looks wierd because the tyres are too narrow for the rims :( Would be better with 8 or 8.5" rims IMO.

Rob people throw smaller tyres on wider rims to make the rims curved to sit into the guards... just like this

oh fuck me. if 9.5 +15 fit, then 16x7 +15 shouldnt be an issue then right..?

i think you may need to roll your rear guards.... and your fronts....

I think stretched tyres look ridiculous. The car looks tough, he would have had to do some guard rolling/flexing and plastic removal to make that fit.

thats why i went 17s at 40 series rubber, looks tougher with meatier tyres IMO. but the drift boys like em stretched tyres.

Tough Indeed.
I like the airbrushed graphics on the side.
What's the point of having a wider rim with skinnier tyres though?
You're only going to get as much track as the tyre can accomodate right?

tru, but by the looks on how he is driving...... he doesnt want traction lol....

They still give plenty of traction.

The car is built for drifting. And drift cars are built predominantly for looks - lets face it the whole sport is a "show off" sport.

It allows the car to be lower, track to be wider, without major body mods. Also allows the driver to often run a cheaper tyre (soft sidewall) and get less flex in the meantime.

Granted it's not used as much in other forms of motorsport, but it does have it's place.....

lol... yes, and those people need to invest in a set of tyres with rim protection on them :)
Rim protection will do sweet fuk all for stretched tyres though... not that race cars need it.
