Help Support 4GTuner:

Just keeping my options open guy the car now runs. Has ecm link installed 3 autometer guages a aem wideband o2, hallman pro boost controller. All it needs is a exhaust and put a tune thru it. Looking for 9k now but am open to offers if a reasonable

Oh so ur a family man now? Well good on ya :p Im looking at evo 8 mr's atm.

For 5g it isnt worth selling with all the work in it, If u got in finished u would sell it for alot more and alot faster.

Yep trust me u will love it once u get it finished selling it doesnt give u any satisfaction. I was gonna sell mine once i got it on the road but now i love it so its my daily :p

Selling it for $5k isnt going to make a huge difference in getting a house and somehow aid in settling down department.

Just think of those old farts who are in their 60s and have a project car sitting in their garages........ ;) Getting my drift here ?

yea i understanding what you guys are saying, but i cant have a car sitting around that i dont want anymore i dont want to spend money on it. sounds pointless.i mean 5k isnt alot but it will still help, ive always wanted a evo 8 or 9 )( dream car) id rather have that as a project car

Reading this thread makes me wonder. Sometimes I think we think about cars way too much. Most people keep a decision to buy or sell simple but we complicate things.

All I can say is that while you have your car, enjoy it. I was in a similar boat to you when my 1.8 motor failed, I started with the 4g63 conversion and halfway through I was pouring so much moeny into the thing I was regretting it. After doing the work though I must admit it has been one of the best cars I've owned. I own both a modded CC GSR and an EVO VIII MR and there are elements of the GSR which I love so much more than the Evo. It feels so much lighter, more nimble and generally has more character if that makes any sense at all.

grant if you cant finish doing a gsr why bother getting an 8 or 9? you dont want to spend anymore money on your gsr but you want to spend 3x more on a newer model? doesnt make sense. just because you get a newer car it isnt going to make it any easier to modify. sell the gsr and dont buy and 8 or a 9, would be a waste of some good cars that someone else could enjoy. buy an excel instead, it'll help you save money for your house and holidays.
