Thought i had better start a new topic on this one as might be easier for anyone in the future chasing a water pump for their 1997 rvr hsg. I have just bought mine off the shelf from Car Parts Plus Lonsdale (Adelaide) for $ 70 
Details on the box are : Endurotec waterpumps, Precision Interntional with a
part number WP3094GMB. The pump is not cheap ass Chinese **** ( no offence China) and has GMB Japan cast into the aluminium casting. This is exactly the same brand of water pump i currently have on my rvr and still have no problem after doing about 115k. Only reason changing is for preventitive maintenance reasons whilst doing timing belt and bearings. Oh and the water pump does come with the coolant tube o-ring and gasket. Cost me $20 freight to get it sent with heap of other bearings and seal n crap to Darwin, so am guessing $10-15 to the eastern states. Will take a picture soon of pump and gasket template as soon as i get my camera back of the mrs!!
