Hey guys,
My 98 RVR has an issue since the last 2 weeks: complete lack of power, struggling at 40 kph uphill, hesitating sometimes…
I've put the car in a garage last week, told me they read the code that it was a problem with the GDI fuel system, and that they couldn't do anything, and that I should find a GDI specialist. Of course they didn't know anyone. That's not helpful, to say the least.
When I heard fuel system I thought of those microfilters everyone is talking about, but I wanted to check the code first.
So I tried to read the troubleshooting code using the engine light (grounding pin 1 of the OBD connector), but it is giving me: one long, ten shorts. Yeah this is what it is showing.
The manual and online websites tell me that it's supposed to have the engine light blinking longly for 10s and shortly for units. But I checked 10 times, I filmed the engine light to recount and recount and I'm not drunk: it is one long and 10 shorts.
Of course the manual lists codes from 11 to 99 only, so there is no code 110, so what the hell does that mean?
Thanks if anyone can help.
