Hey guys

Anyone dealt with 999automotive? they have some cheap 16g's going on ebay, has anyone on here have one of these? still going okay? no shaft play? I've had 3 TD05's during this year, all have broken on me. The first one was my original 14b, second was a 16g/18g hybrid, then a ebay 20g and the 20g. I would just like a reliable 16g turbo for once.

Cheers, Brock

Yes for $1200 i would expect it to be a good turbo, but with $1200, i could go to a T3 setup, including manifold, gate and turbo for that price. I just need a reliable 16g thats not going to crap out on me, i know kando dynamic sell great td05's for $700.

So you have tried a 20 year old 14b, 16g/18g hybrid (who knows who made it) and eBay crappy turbo? How about a real, MHI 16g for a change? They are very reliable!

But first, check your oil supply and return!

Looked in For Sale section lately??

Simple search found this as the first post....

Are "Kandos" what we call "Chineese knock off or EBay 16gs"?

If so, they are actually OK when it comes to making power. People have gone fast on those turbos, running up to 30psi of boost. The problem is that they usually fail between 1000-6000k miles.

But... They do have a decent exhaust housing! So when it blows, and you are out of warranty, at least you can use their housing with a MHI 16g. ;)
